Johnny�is the second book of the standalone�Connelly Cousins Trilogy.
Many of you might recognize him from his occasional cameo appearances in my popular Callaghan Brothers series. That's because the Connellys are cousins to the boys in Pine Ridge, and live just over the river in the small valley town of Birch Falls.
If you're keeping track, Johnny is the older brother of Celina (Book 1). Their mother, Erin, and the Callaghan matriarch, Kathleen, are sisters.
In terms of timing, Johnny's story takes place right around the same time as Dangerous Secrets (Callaghan Brothers, Book 1).�

Hit or miss? Major miss!

This story is actually quite disappointing. I've read all of Abbie's books and Salienne Dulcette is a very well known character throughout the series. She's featured in every story in some way which gave me high hope as to how her story would be. Unfortunately I was just left feeling disappointed. Abbie Zander's features strong women in her books but the story of Stacy deviated away from that. The entire story felt like a poor me, pity story. It was rushed, lacked the chemistry that most of the other books had and was mediocre at best.

It's alright

Not bad, not great just kind of middle road. I have read the Callaghan brothers twice now and loved them. I appreciate that like Keeping Faith it was not about certain danger and the alpha male coming top the rescue. The story is about overcoming life obstacles. There was just some of the depth missing. You get the impression that Stacey's accident was more than it really was, why the big secret she was helping someone out and was hurt. Johnny misses his lost family but it is just a teaser of who he is. The book feels incomplete I don't know the characters very well and don't have much of a connection to them. Reading it as part of the series is a must, Salienne as an author plays such a part in all of the other stories I just wished for more from her story.
