Karen Frazier is the author of three books: Avalanche of Spirits: The Ghosts of Wellington, Dancing with the Afterlife, and Lessons of Many Lives, which she co-wrote with hypnotherapist Melissa Watts. She has also ghost written a number of books, as well as thousands of articles on a variety of topics. Karen is a journalist for Paranormal Underground Magazine. I have Hashimoto's and one must do the elimination month in or to find out what ones triggers are. There really is no other way around your thyroid (and adrenal) problems. With that being said, who wants to give up everything "good" for 30 days and still get your family their meals too?

Enter Karen's cookbook and action plan. If you are exhausted and feel like crap... This book will become your bible! I have named her the patron saint of all those who suffer from Hashimoto's.

Clearly she is a genius. She "gets" the what, where and why's of each and everything one could ever need, who is silently suffering thru their 30 days. Because you have this disease, you need to find your triggers and reinvent what goes on with your diet. This is your new pathway to food and how it will help you. Consider it a primer.

She explains why you need to take action with this plan. Why certain foods are off of your diet. Why you need to track your symptons and then give you a chart to do it with. What to stock your pantry with. Shopping list for each week and every week. For delicious meals that serve four... For each meal of the day. And she tells you what to expect within this diet change, because for us, we will feel better each week.

Then she explains in detail what to do after the 30 days are up. How to reintroduce the 10 foods you took out and how to tell if it is indeed a trigger. Plus, you get another chart to track these Symptoms too.

All of this is important. However, it doesn't mean much if you don't like what you are eating. I was so surprised at how great Tasting everything was. We are talking about three meals a day for 30 days and then some. Recipes that you will reach for again and again - after - your 30 days are up. I would have been lost without her cookbook. The book does all of your thinking for you and avoids all of the hassles... Easy peasy!

Very disappointed - misrepresentation.

I am very disappointed with this book. I thought I would be getting a cookbook that would help me manage the Autoimmune Protocol and provide me with recipes that would help me cook for myself and my family. Well, the book starts off with a 3 day cleanse, where as AIP recommends 3 weeks. Also, right from day 1, they tell you to buy 2 dozen eggs and have an egg salad recipe. Eggs are forbidden in true Hashimoto's AIP, so why are they filling these recipes with so many eggs? I'm doing the 3 week AIP cleanse as recommended and I can only make about 4 recipes in this book, and that will still require some modification. So disappointed and feel that this was poorly represented. This should be a Paleo cookbook and not for Hashimoto's.

Deceitful, full of recipes using ingredients that cause issues in people with autoimmune problems.

Not what I expected. There are a lot of recipes taking up pages that use, nuts, night shades and eggs. When dealing with autoimmune issues like Hashimoto's those are things you need to eliminate and try to reintroduce at a later time. The author has you eating eggs on the 31 day elimination phase. I feel like I wasted my money on this purchase!

WOW!! Amazing info and such a deep journey into health and wellbeing on SO many levels! I heard about the book from a friend. I bought it as a kindle purchase. It was so amazing I decided to buy a physical copy. It was outrageous on Amazon so I went to her website and ordered it for under $40.00. I highly recommend it. Life changing.

Beautifully guided yoga practices for embracing the deep feminine.

I had to keep putting this book down in order to try out for myself all the movements, meditations, mudras and mantras that the author describes within. This lovingly prepared book found its way into my hands during my own research into yoga practices tailored specifically for women. It is now firmly ensconced in my top 5 favorite and most-referenced books on yoga. The author~ Uma Dinsmore-Tuli~ has provided both a general overview of the history of women within yoga (through currently available texts), as well as well-presented and supported theories for why women's voices might not be as readily found within the more commonly used texts.

Because I actively teach and develop material specific to women's yoga classes, I began to incorporate the material in 'Yoni Shakti' into my classes right away. Many women students of yoga are hungry for female-oriented practices, and they have been absorbing these like hungry plants. The line drawings and written instructions are clear, concise and plentiful. There are extended notes for women in all stages of their menstrual cycles, and life cycles, and the different practices are presented in such a way that one can go from basic to more complex confidently. This man is THE REAL DEAL!

Zach is an incredible poet and just one of the best human beings I've ever come across. I've had the pleasure of knowing him through Instagram and over the years I've commented on his poetry and he responds back to every message. He is a geniune gentleman! A rare breed these days. A man of great passion who, after 9/11 joined the U.S. Marines to put his life on the line for his country. That's putting your money where your mouth is! I can't say enough about how greatful I am to have come across him and I'll continue to save my money to buy all his books and support his endeavors. I know this is a lot of hype on the man, but I don't care, he deserves all the success in the world as far as I'm concerned. Keep doing what you do Zach! A definite read for the Preventive Medicine Board Exam

Covers a broad array of topics that are on the ABPM General Preventive Medicine Board exam as well as the common core exam for other ABPM specialties. However, I would supplement this book with Mayo Preventive Medicine Board Review book. While most chapters are fairly comprehensive, a few such as those on Occupational Medicine and Environmental Medicine are very brief, and not reach the full depth that I would have expected (hence the 4 star over 5 star).
